C 3 : C 4 : C 5 or Triennial C 3 (Three yearly vaccine )
Cats:
All cats must be currently vaccinated or have been Titer Tested* and shown to have sufficient natural immunity to board safely. Vaccinations accepted are:
FE3: FE4: FE5
Vaccinations must be completed a minimum of two weeks before admittance to Ashridge Cattery and Kennels.
*Titer Testing:
Some pets may experience a bad, or occasionally, an allergic reaction to a vaccine. Some vets may then suggest that the client should have their pet Titer Tested prior to boarding.
A Titer Test is a blood test that measures the presence and level of antibodies against a particular disease, which can provide evidence of current or past infection or protection provided by a vaccine.
If the results show a suitable level of protection, then a pet can board safely. This is accepted by us, as we had a dog of our own who had a severe reaction to his 16 weeks vaccine as a pup, was titer tested annually thereafter, and lived to 16 years without any problems, and his annual antibody levels remained high!
